Oh those were the days

I just reformated my laptop on Monday and now..I can't seemed to connect my home wireless to my laptop. Argh. Time to call my uncle for some emergency IT advice.

And now I am stuck using...Home PC. Not that I am grumbling since I haven used it for a while and it probably need my share of tender love and care (I believe my sister do abuse it once in a while)..but it's much slower than my laptop. Oh well.

Now scanning my O levels, A levels result slips and Letter of Appointment for the upcoming internship. I guess the application for ABF needs a lot of info. Scary how things done so many years ago (Gasp! O levels was 6 years ago. :S) actually matter today. hahaha.

Is this what we call 凡走过必留下痕迹,凡住过必留下邻居? (ok, the second part was a personal addition).

I was surfing through (ok if u consider that surfing) my Home PC files (I am absolutely alien to this computer. Only use it for Maple Story. Haha)..and I realised my sister scanned in a lot of our childhood photos taken with my favourite cousin, Julianne and my other relatives.

I hope my sister won't feel I am violating her privacy for doing this. Ha

Pict #1: That's the 3 of us. Closest amongst all my other cousins I think since the 3 of us had only 2 years of age gap each. My sis born in 1983, me 1985 and Julianne 1987. Julianne is the shotest one in red (now I have taken over her place to be the shortest one), me folding my arms in pink and my sis, the tallest (still the tallest now)one in pink and black. This is my grandma place.

Pict #2: This is maternal grandma and the 3 of us. Julianne being the youngest one on her lap. My sister (who is so much taller than me since young. Unfair that is.) and then me. Short as ever. Hahahaha. Based on the date, I should be around 3 years old and 2 months odd.

Pict #3: That's Julianne (cute as ever) with my Grandma, Grandpa (on the left of my cousin), my 2nd granduncle who lives in Shenzhen (sitting next to my grandpa) and lastly, another granduncle (who superbly spoils me when I was a kid. He's the one who buy me the toys I want without me having to point out which toy. I just had to stand and stare at the toy for more than 10 seconds. Oops..)

Pict #4: Cutest couple ever on earth. Presenting to u...my maternal ah gong and ah ma! Look at her jet black hair! Now you know where I got mine from :)

Pict #5: This is my Ah Gong. The only one I knew since my paternal grandpa passed away before I was born. Ah Gong loves the black beer (see what he takes the picture with..). He passed away 12th January 2007 at 8.54pm. I hope, wherever he is now, he is happily drinking the cartons of paper black beer we burnt. And definitely, not worrying about us.

Pict #6: Ah gong's bday. My grandparents' bdays were one of the key reasons all of us gather at their home besides CNY. (since different families visit ah gong and ah ma on different days of the week. For us, it's every Sunday.) Ah Gong hated being the center of attention and whine everytime he was made to take photo alone with his birthday cake and the table of food made by his 2 of his 5 sons (my uncles that is) who are chefs.

Pict #7: Just some of the members of my maternal side of the family. Starting from the left, my 3rd uncle with his first child, followed by my 1st uncle, 1st uncle's son (who is the only boy amongst all the maternal side cousins), my grandpa, 5th uncle, my grandma and then my elder sis in white top red skirt and 1st uncle's daughter. Needless to say, I'm the shortest in the picture...haha

Pict #8: This was taken at my grandaunt's place. That's my sister with red hairband, my cute cousin, me with a terrible expression, my 5th uncle and then my aunt.

Those were the days where things were simple and life was simple too. Everyday was a happy day becoz definition of happiness was simple back then. Sometimes when I look back at these photos, I feel that...actually happiness was simple, and is still simple. We complicate our own lives and made things difficult for ourselves.

We still do miss Ah Gong now, but we certainly believe that he is in a better place. Somewhere where he is no longer bedridden and no longer depressed. Somewhere he can run freely with his legs and definitely a lot happier.

Ok..need to start drawing up a packing list soon. And start studying on franchising. Till then!
