Of 2.6kg bah kwa, eggtarts from heaven and a decade-old bff

Met up with my decade-old bff (best female friend) on Sunday.

Aim of the day: Get CNY clothes for me.
Accomplished: Loads of rubbish talk, nice food, 1 Esprit Trucker cap and 1 $36 jumper suit. Hahahaha.

CNY clothes shopping is so not done yet. Wendy's attempt to make me dress older failed. I think like my youthful look. WAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Not very eager to grow up -_-.

We went for real good Nasi Bryani at the food court in Bugis. Coz she wanted to try everything local before she return to Australia on 22nd Feb (Haiz, typing this date makes me miss her already :S). And man, I wanna go back and try again! It was so hot I was perspiring just eating it! :)

We walked around Bugis, trying to locate the Bah Kwa shop that her mum wanted. Actually was coz Weiqi (her bf) had to buy some Bah Kwa to get into her mum's good books. Hahahahaha.

We found it at Bencoolen after asking around:
And we ended up with 5 boxes of bah kwa! 2.6 kg in all!

Imagine dragging this bag the whole day! Hahaha.

We went off to Orchard coz we both agree that none of the clothes really appealed to us -_-. I decided to get some Lao Po Bing (Wife Biscuits) coz they were my mum's favourite. I didn't manage to get the authentic Yuen Lang one when I was in Hong Kong. Found out that they have a temporary stall in the CNY bazaar in Taka.

I got my Yuen Lang Wife Biscuits!
Glad my mum love it. Gonna buy a box next Sunday and bring to my Grandma's :)

Wendy recommended this shop "Fancy Delight".

I SWEAR I SWEAR I SWEAR I SWEAR I SWEAR IT'S VERY VERY VERY VERY NICE.

I SOLEMNLY SWEAR.

Basically they sell egg tarts:
BUT, note, they seel special egg tarts :)

Ok lemme show you how special they are:
Wendy is holding the apple cinnamon flavour one, I am holding the kaya one.

From the outlook, they just look like normal tarts with extra toppings.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. Very wrong.
They have more fillings at the bottom of the tart!!!!!!!!

Wendy: "So how is it?"
Me: "MMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmMMMMMMmmmmmmmmm."
Wendy: "Can't talk?"
*nod head*
Wendy: "Are you seeing stars?"
Me: "TOTALLY!!!!!!!!"
Wendy: "Ok let's just finish the whole box."
Me: "YES YES YES!!!!!!"

And so I moved on to the peppered chicken tart.

And to think chicken and egg tarts dun go together!

Oh no they are like perfect match. 200% well matched :)

They have a couple of outlets in Singapore:

1. No.1 Tanjong Pagar Plaza, #01-04
2. IMM Building (Jurong East)#01-K05
3. Suntec City, Tower 3, #01-140F

They cost $1.30 each and comes in 4 ,6 or 8 per box. Make pretty sweet gifts for the special ones or good friends!

They got me happy the WHOLE day. Hahahahahaha. Thanks darling for recommending! It taste sooooo good!

As I am writing this, I am totally drooling can....:S Just messaged Wendy on MSN that we SO HAVE TO have a Fancy Delight session with tea one of these days. Hahaha.

Ok that ends my entry for the day. Am really sleepy. Helped out at Patron's Day 2008 the entire day. My last PD le :(.

Will update on PD when I have all the photos in!
