Of a Norwegian guy and Rochor Dao Huay

Have you ever sat in a class, knowing perfectly well that the professor is speaking English but you have absolutely no idea what he is talking about?

I went through that today for Analysis of Derivatives class. Not that the topic was too chim. He's a China prof and his accent was just just just too heavy.

Guy next to me: "Omg omg omg omg."
*turn to me*
Guy next to me: "Do you have any idea what is he talking about?"
Me: "No...."

No one could answer his questions coz no one knew when the question was being asked. Hahaha.

He ended the class one hour earlier. That was the redeeming factor I guess. Hahaha.

Think I need to study on my own lo. Haiz.

Messaged Yicui to see if she was still around in school and she said she was in Parkway with her Norwegian friend.

Yicui: "Eh come leh, I intro to you. Hahaha."

And so I took a bus down to Parkway. Not because wanna know the guy la aiyo, coz I miss Yicui so so much! Hahaha.

Eric (if his name is spelt like that) turn out to be quite an interesting person! He's very in love with Singapore and this is his 3rd time here. He's very into Chinese culture and can speak simple Chinese, Japanese and Korean. He was actually shopping around for the fake firecrackers we hang during Chinese New Year! Hahaha, so interesting. And yea, he thinks CNY songs are cool. Hahahaha.

We went off to Orchard after that because Yicui needed to get her K800i fixed. It kinda died on her after she came back from her Europe exchange. By the time we stepped out of the Service Centre, it was near to 9pm already. She then received a call from her brother (or was it her mum) to go pick him up at Starhub Ctr where he was doing his ACCA course.

Jianzhong got into the car at around 9.45pm and suggested we go Rochor Dao Huay since Eric was leaving tmr midnight. Eric expressed interest and off we went.

On me being an exercise freak

Yicui: "Wanna share a dao huay together?"
Me: "Sure! I just had Mac's, a bit full."
*proceeds to order 3 dao huays, 3 doughsticks and hum chin peng*
*Yicui peels off part of the doughstick*: "Come try, it's very nice."
Me: "Dowan la..I just had Mac then now this."
Jianzhong: "Just eat la, your size can take it."
*Me shake head violently*
Me: "No I dowan, I been eating a lot."
Jianzhong: "I run with you this weekend la, just take one bite, it's really nice."
Yicui: "Oh she running with me tmr lo."
Jianzhong: "Oh that you don't give me chance, you run without me."
*conversation get a bit too noisy*
Me: "Ok ok I eat I eat."

-_-

Me: "I think I need to run when I go home..."
Jianzhong: "You are exercise freak leh."
Me: "I have to. And I like to perspire. Hahaha."
*JIanzhong look down and up*: "No wonder you are this size. But still like exercise freak. Haha."
Me: "Eh c'mon you run 42.5 km StanChart leh. I can't continue after the 2nd km. Haha."
*Big grinz*

Yea and got the cheek to say I am exercise freak. Hahaha. Yicui and Jianzhong kinda remind me of my sister and I. Yicui dun like to exercise but JZ does. Just like my sister hates exercising but I love to.

Yicui: "You know why?"
Me: "Why?"
Yicui: "Coz your sister like me, 1983, Pig Year. Hahahahaha."
Me: "So I reckon you Rat brother and your Ox friend here are more active pple...."

On me having a dirty mind (i dun btw)

Me: "How come you so tired?"
JZ: "Coz work and study is tough."
Yicui: "Oh you know every morning I wake up, I will tell him 'Come Jianzhong wake up, time to earn money for me' Hahaha."
*JZ shakes head*
JZ: "Can u imagine her face is the first thing I see in the morning."
Yicui: "Yea when we slp together, I roll over and tell him. Very convenient. Haha."
Me: "U GUYS SLP TOG?"
JZ: "There's nth wrong, when 2 pple are just lying there, and sleeping. Nth else happens."
*stares at my expression*
JZ: "Wah you tink vv far lo...hahahaha."

Oh man. I didn't mean to really. Hahahaha.

Yicui met some of her NUS Work and Travel USA mates and so it left me, Jianzhong and Eric at the table. We talked about Singapore, talked about the economy, talked about Real Estate, and talked about Jianzhong's ACCA.

We left shortly and went into the car.

*Slam the car door damn hard*
Me: "Oops, I'm sorry. Didn't know I slam it that hard."
Jianzhong: "YuHui is here to tear down our car one ah."
Me: "Hey I didn't mean it."
Jianzhong: "Ok it shows, we need to find more food. You haven't had enough!"
Me: "Eh I have the strength means I had enough lo."
Jianzhong: "Oh yea."
Me: "I think too much accounting is making you dizzy."
Jianzhong: "HAHAHAHAHA."

And so thankfully, we did not go for more food. I was stuffed to the max. Hahaha. And Yicui and me have morning classes tmr!

So we proceeded to send Eric off to his place at Little India before they embark on the journey to my place. The topics in the car went on and on as Jianzhong leaned front in between me and Yicui. We talked about career, Citibank, UBS, about Ducati, about Ferrari, about Volkswagen and then finally a guy who tells me Mini Cooper is a nice car (i love to own one), about Indians (hahaha), sex workers and the latest addition of Russians to Geylang. Hahahaha. Damn wide sia the topics.

I went home to a mail addressed to me:
Once I see the Chinese characters, I know it's from Xiao Ting. Just a little information. Xiao Ting is my penpal who used to stay in Sabah. I forgot how we knew each other but we started writing letters when I was in J2. She was around my age so we encouraged each other a lot in studies and in coping with parents' naggings. Lol. She finally found the courage to pursue her dream in studying Buddhism and left when she was 1st year in University. She went to Taiwan and became a nun. She has adopted a different name and until now we still keep in touch.

From kiddish contents to encouraging ones to ones that we could share our opinions on social affairs. Our friendship certainly grew well and beyond although we have nv seen each other and all the form of communication we had all these years was purely pen and paper.

She likes to send me books and notes from the temple. I think she has matured a lot over there and it has helped me in that aspect too. She was always able to see my problems in a different light and was always very optimistic and peaceful in her opinions. Her letters always serve as a form of comfort. Dunno why. Hahaha.

Thanks Xiao Ting, I know you are busy, but thanks for making the effort :)

Okay damn tired, am leaving now....I have morning class later..and I haven't pack my gym bag! Argh
