No more hype :(
Snacking on CNY goodies was like the last bit of CNY mood I could bring onto myself. (Yea kinda explain why I am having a sore throat). Well besides that noisy fake firecracker in the living room. Lol.
Youfen called just now and we kinda discussed how sian life is after 4 days of heaven-like feeling of gathering, collecting red packets, eating and just plain being school-and-schoolwork-irrelevant.
So now it boils down Yu Hui having ate too much, played too much and practically studied nothing. Hahahahaha.
The only pat on the back I can give myself is like...erm increase in my ang pow revenue? Hahaha..and 4 more awaiting this coming Sunday! (Hopefully can bring back some CNY happiness since Julianne will be back from Guam by then. Jul, how about some nice LV bags as CNY gifts? Hahahahaha.)
And I note an increase in IB's (Investment Bank) red packets this year:
Wonder why.And another thing is, I found myself talking to my cousins and cousin-in-laws about careers more than anything now. My cousin-in-law just left GIC (apparently very highly paid)to start his own business. And another cousin just landed a job in Bank of America. Another in Bank of Tokyo (Eh Mingkeat, I reckon you would LOVE to work there. Lol.). Another doing real well in OCBC. Another expanding her clinic. Everyone is doing real well. Make me real stressed up :S Like 大伯, despite retiring as a prof in NTU, he is still active in other areas like plans to write his own book and still learning voraciously.
I hope to give my parents that sense of honour next CNY too when they speak of my career -_-. Talk about self-induced stress. But yea, I still do dream of giving my parents good allowance and having the ability to bring them on holidays like how my cousins do it to my 大伯 and 伯母.
And yea, I discover a joy in wearing skirts. Must be the nice shoes I got for CNY. Hahahahaha. And totally hooked to Giordano's new batch of female polo-tees. Especially getting 3 in one go (in white, blue and pink). Maybe as what Mingkeat says, CNY clothes shopping is as easy as GBH (Giordano, Bossini and Hangten)
I hate post-CNY. It's always so dull and gloomy. Eeks. I shall wait to have some self-induced happiness this coming Sunday.
Muaahahahahahahaha.
Coz there will be ang pows, my relatives, mahjong, Julianne (see, you are a happy element by itself. Hahahah)and food by my 2 uncles who are hotel chefs.

Anyway, Happy Rat Year everyone!!!! :) And to all my Rat friends, you guys are hitting 24! Omg! Which reminds me I am going to hit 23. Eeks.
According to the old folk tale, we oxes brought you guys across the river and made you Rats number 1 in the Zodiac Round. So it means you Rats will forever be indebted to us.
Maybe that's why Rats and Oxes get along well. Hahahaha.
