National Mourning

Of course not in Singapore, it was in China.

7 days (On 19th May 2008) after the Sichuan Earthquake, China held its first ever 3-day national mourning for the death of commoners. This date was chosen because of the Chinese belief that souls of the dead return 7 days after they pass away, also known as the 头七.

It's a day where all Chinese newspapers unanimously had their prints in black and white...:
