Goodbye is always temporary

If you have been reading my blog/been a very close friend of mine since I've started working - you would be very familiar with this name.

V*ikram M*ujumdar.

My previous boss at S*tarwood - someone I can rave and rave non-stop about. Someone who was always like a father figure, a mentor, a great boss and a close friend to me. He was one the key reasons I found it so hard to leave my previous workplace as well.

Today is his farewell party. He will be leaving for Phuket to work at property - part of his ideal career path of eventually being posted back to India as a Regional Head in Operations.

That's me celebrating my 23rd birthday and first one with St*arwood.

This was my farewell message to him.

“Dear first official boss I’ve worked with after school,

I don’t even know where and how to start with my gratitude for having you as my very first boss in my first full time job! For one, you sure set a really high benchmark for all my future bosses haha ;) And all my friends know your name by hard because I never stop raving about how great you were (and still are)!

Blessed are every single staff in Sheraton Grande Laguna Phuket now, for they will be welcoming their best superior ever J Best of luck in your future endeavours and your planned eventual posting back to India. Our paths will definitely cross again :)  I’ll miss your laughter, your wisdom and most importantly, your presence in Tower 2 for sure. If we can’t fulfil that golf session in Singapore, I’m sure we’ll fulfil that in Phuket ;)

Regards,
Ex-analyst who’s always on laughing gas”

HAHA yeah that was his nickname for me due to my ability to laugh non-stop. I'll never forget the last thing he said to me before I left.

"I can see you progress very high and far in your career. You have the brains, the tenacity and the personality to do it. The world is your oyster, little girl. One day I'll like to see you succeed."

V*ikram, you have been a gift to work with. I'll miss you very very much.
