Oh my Wang Dae Bak!

People who knows me WELL knows I hate food smell on my clothes and hair. Hence the general dislike for food places that are enclosed (air-conditioned but bad kitchen ventilation like underground food courts) and involves indoor BBQ-ing. I only visit stalls at the entrances of food courts and usually do take-aways. I never eat at my workstation (avoid food smell around my work station), heck sometimes I even stand away from people holding food packets in public transport. My ex used to do smell checks before we step into any dining outlet and he would go "Oh no I don't think you will like this place haha" or "Okay this place is really safe for you!". Yup I'm THAT particular.

I'm terrible I know :(

You have no idea how depressed I was when my ex colleagues suggested that we have a catch-up dinner over Korean BBQ. It was a complete big moment of no for me but I really really missed them. So I gave in. You have no idea how many Korean BBQ dinners I've turned down in my lifetime man.. Haha. They assured me the food is definitely worth stinking to high heavens...and THEY WERE SO RIGHT. Hahaha!

Wang Dae Bak was so so so good! :) The shop is owned by a Korean and most of their staff are Koreans too, who speak pretty decent English. The plus point would be the dudes looked like they just walk out of a drama of some sorts. Haha.
See that golden bowl in the last picture? It's for drinking this cold rice wine and it was the bombs. It reminds me a little like Calpis but with a heavy alcohol taste. It goes so well with all that BBQ meat and heat from the grill plate.

I believe it's a perfect drink for a hot afternoon too. Hurhur!

I'm definitely going to go back there again! The only thing is one has to make reservation first! I'm sure they are really popular.

Yes I stank to high heavens when I stepped out but the food and company made it all worth it :) Okay, after second thought, I'll make sure I'll only eat dinner there so I can go home and shower straight after the meal :)
