Popped by The Big Sheila on Saturday with my foodie mate. It's a nice cozy restaurant that sits about maximum 25 people indoors and maybe 5-8 outdoors.
The owner is an Australian lady who quit her job in 2011 and started this place. So the food served are predominantly Australian.
The interiors are simple, with a large table (that takes up most of the sitting space) that seats about maybe 12-14 people (usually shared by 2-3 groups of people) and 2 corner seats that sits about 3-5 people each.
My friend ordered a salad and the Brunch Omelette:
I had the Grilled Bacon and Creamy Mashed Potato:
The creamy mashed potato was the highlight of my meal man. It was so so so smooth and good. It's so smooth (that you know a good amount of butter went into it) but you can still taste the potato. Man I could eat that all day.
They also have a generous serving of desserts and you can go have a look at them before you order them:
We ordered the orange cake (can't remember the name) and it did no disappoint. It was rich and definitely flavourful with the velvety orange cream that coated its soft spongy core. If only we weren't so full by the end of the meal, I think we would have enjoyed it more.
Oh and they don't do delivery anymore because their business have gotten too busy for them to do that. They will also be expanding into the second floor! Hope food quality don't get compromised :) Mainly because it's a nice cozy place, it seemed that the owner knew most of the patrons and it was like one big family/friends brunch party. Pop by once or twice, I think one would be in the inner circle soon ;)
