It Started with a Kiss
Now I am catching this Taiwan drama called "It Started with a Kiss" aka "恶作剧之吻"...oooo..damn nice!!!!!!!!
I watched the Jap version about 5-6 years back but I would say the Taiwan version from the adapted hot selling Japanese Manga is much more detailed and nicer :) Of coz mainly due to the fact I prefer the Taiwanese male and female lead more..ahhahaha<

My latest addiction: BLEACH!
Ok..when i write Bleach, i dun mean the solution used to wash clothes...hahaha...
BLEACH (死神) is a super popular manga/anime series in Japan and I believe it took a lot of places by storm too coz the story is just too engaging!
The manga now stands at book no. 248 while the anime stands at episode 100 as of now. Epsiode 101 shld b coming out next week. The manga will continue publishing online i tink..hahah..
I noe a lot of my frens download to watch it...but to make things fast since I only started watching a few weeks ago..i decided to watch on Youtube coz it loads faster ma...but will download it and burn them into CDs ba...for keeping!
ok..so wat's the story bout..lemme c if i can try to summarise..esp after i haf watched so many epsiodes already..and the story has progressed so far..it's hard to summarise...hahaha
The main character in this anime is Kurosaki Ichigo (黑崎 一护). He's a 15 yr old high school kid wif irritating orange hair..ahhaa.Ur normal high school kid who is bit deviant and gets into fights every now and then. But there's one thing different bout him. He sees dead people. Not only dead people, but a kind of spiritual monster called Hollow as well. (Hollows are normal spirits who refused to leave the real world becoz they haf wishes left unfinished, people to tk care of, things to protect..blah blah. They stay too long in the real world and their spirits are not able to go in peace. Over time they become hollows which tks the form of monsters, usually wif a prominent hole in the middle of the chest and a white skull-like mask. They can b extremely strong and swallow human souls for energy. they r particularly attracted to humans wif high spiritual energies, eg. Ichigo
Becoz Ichigo's spiritual energy aka reiatsu is exceptionally high (which gifs him the ability to see dead things), he tends to attract Hollows all the time.
On one nite, he met Kuchiki Rukia (朽木 露其亚), a Shinigami aka Death God/Soul Reaper (死神) who was on a mission to eliminate Hollows. That was the nite his 2 younger sisters were captured by a Hollow and Rukia was sent out to help. Rukia, however, was badly injuried due to earlier battle wif the Hollow and could not perform her duties. Knowing that Ichigo has high level of spirit evergy (since he can see her, only humans wif high reiatsu can see Shinigamis and Hollows), Rukia says the only way to save his sisters is, that she will transfer some of her powers to him temporarily. In nid of saving his sisters, Ichigo hafta go for it.<
(ok..side track a bit. There's another dimension in this anime aside from the real world where humans live, is the Soul Society (尸魂界). Soul Society is the place where people are sent to after they die in the real world. They are reborn as souls in Rukongai (流魂街) aka Street of Wondering Souls. Souls here are not immortal. They just age at a slower rate. In which if they die in the Soul Society, they recarnate as humans into the real world.
In Rukongai. there r several districts, some poorer while some r bit beta off. The Shinigamis and the nobilities stay in a walled up castle in Soul Society known as Seireitei (净灵庭) aka Court of Pure Souls. Souls who live in Seireitei basically lead a much beta life compared to those in Rukongai. The only way for the regular souls born in Rukongai to be rid of poverty was to become a Shinigami. However, it is not easy to become a Shinigami as one has to haf exceptionally high level of reiatsu to even qualify.
There are 4 Noble Families (Rukia belong to one of them. The Kuchiki family) and 13 Divisions aka 13 Gotei aka Gotei Ju San Tai(护庭十三队) within the Seireitei. Each division has their own Captains (Taicho) and vice-captains (Fuku Taicho). Specifically the 4th Division is the medic team where the shinigamis there have minimal warfare spiritual energy but haf excellent healing powers, the 11th Division is the battle division and the 12th Division is the research division.
All Shinigamis have their own swords (katanas) known as Zanpakutoh (斩魄刀) aka Soul Slayer. Which means tis sword only slays souls and will not hurt humans even if they fight in the real world. The Zanpakutoh serve to purify the souls of the Hollows and allowing them to return peacefully to Soul Society and await recarnation.
Each individual's sword has its own name and they r not mere fighting tools. They are battle partners. They are irreplaceable. Only thru understanding of the sword will one be able to call out the name and summon the sword to a Shikai (始解) mode.
Each sword's Shikai is different and no shinigami will have a similar Shikai. The sword usually tk after the character and power of the shinigami himself. A few more yrs, sometimes up to more than 10 over yrs of practice will gif shinigamis the ability to bring the sword to Bankai (万解) mode. Before Bankai, the Shinigami must be able to subdue it's own Zanpakutoh spirit so as to prove tt the Shinigami is strong enuff to wield the weapon. Bankai will render the Shinigami at least 10 times stronger than others who can only use Shikai. Yet again, one no Shinigami will have a similar Bankai. Achieving Bankai is essential for all Captains. Well only 11th Division Captain Zaraki Kenpachi (更木 剑八) achieved his captain's position by killing the previous one as he is not able to Shikai or Bankai.)

Anyway..back to Ichigo..yes. He had to save his sisters. So he took up Rukia's Zanpakutoh and stab himself to force his spirit out of the body. (yes i mention that Zanpakutoh cannot cut human flesh..but can force the spirit out of a human body) Only in a spirit form can he wield the Zanpakutoh. The higher the spiritual energy the user has, the more powerful the Zanpakutoh. And to Rukia's surprise, Ichigo's spiritual energy was vv high. He defeated the Hollow and managed to save his sisters. This, however, brought on more troubles.
Transferring of power was illegal in the Soul Society and Rukia was taking too long for a mission in the real world as she stayed on as a normal human (she found a temporary body to function as a human). She was unable to return back to Soul Society as she has transferred her power to Ichigo. This raised the alarm in Seireitei and it was before long her older brother Kuchiki Byakuya (朽木 白哉), Captain of 6th Division and Abarai Renji (阿散井 恋次), Vice captain of 6th Division were sent down to capture her.
Due to the seriousness of the crimes she committed in the real world, she was served the death penalty where her soul were b slayed upon and she was not to recarnate. In order to save her, Ichigo embarks on a journey wif other frens wif spiritual awareness to save Rukia.....
.i dunno if it stirred any interest by just seeing tis entry..ahahah..but it is nice sia! i realise so many pple r watching..the no. of pple in SMUBE, when i went for JC Band gathering, i realise half the boys r tokking bout it, and most of my female frens r watching too! buahahaha...See! it;s nice. muz watch.
But i muz warn..it's highly addictive sia...so beware..ahha
