The Stranger (I)
I just finished writing the notes for my stack of music scores (Yes my sight-reading skills suck..haha) and I'm all excited to start playing.
While the melody of the pieces run so smoothly in my head, I realized my fingers can't catch up with my mind AT ALL. I felt very much like the author of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly - Jean-Dominique Bauby.
That feeling suck.
I sat in front of my piano and thought about those days where I can play my pieces smoothly and fast. I recalled Razinah's comment about my fingers looking like spiders scampering across the piano when I played Fur Elise. Not a nice description but at least I had nimble fingers before.
And THAT was 6 years ago O.o Now the 52 whites and 36 blacks feels like a stranger to me. Guess it's time to warm up those finger joints.
Now where is my practice book for running notes?
