Friday the 13th

Happy Friday the 13th everyone! I hope you had a good one :)

I did my fair share of housework before leaving the house for gym. Did all my physio moves diligently, and even pushed myself to do more sets. Me thinks I should be able to start running again. Hurhur. I spent a good 15 minutes in the steam room. My favourite hangout besides the Drinks Bar - provided I don't have to face women baring their breasts in there. Good thing I had the steam room all to myself!

Rushed home for a quick shower, answered some emails (speaking of which, I declined another offer...which was made the same day the interview was done. Much to the dismay of my recruiter but oh well..) and then headed off to Central Library. Figured I should make good use of my time to educate myself continuously on the requirements of my dream role instead of sitting at home to twiddle my thumbs.

Most of the books I want are located in the Reference Section (which means no borrowing home) so I make do with some that I could bring home:

Clockwise from top left: 不生气的技术 (Tips on not losing your temper - or something along that line..),  Falling for Me by Anna David, Learn Malay - A Phrase A Day and Pet Sematary by Stephen King.

I'm going to try to pick up Bahasa Melayu. HAHA. Notice the word: TRY.

Met up with Quek for dinner at good old Fish n Co. Seriously, it's so hard to find one outlet that has good service. GAH. Since Quek has the cravings for fried calamaris from Fish n Co, so we eat calamaris at Fish n Co. Hahaha.

I'm a really boring eater - i.e I eat the same thing over and over again. Did I tell you I once ate the same dish for lunch everyday for 6 months? Trust me when I say it's not surprising that I eat fish and chips no matter where I go, Fish n Co or not. Their serving of fries have decreased! I'm not complaining though, since I can never finish their food portions.

It actually makes me feel a little better that I'm not wasting food. Niahaha.

Wandered off to Bugis Plus (previously known as..wait what was it..oh Iluma). It's filled with the same old boring shops the usual Capitaland Mall has. Boo to another cookie cutter mall.

We then ended off with ice coffee at Toast Box with way too awesome conversations. I love talking to Quek, because he listens to any nonsense I ramble on about, even when he has absolute zero interest in them. Haha.

Shall go start reading my books now! Great weekend to all! :)
