Poor King Kong

After work and visiting my grandpa, my bosom friend (yes, rite close to the......heart la! wat were yor tinking..?), Wendy asked if I was free for movie. Of coz I was! I haven watched a flick for ages for honey-coated oats' sake! I can't even remember wat was the last movie I watched.

But anyway, we decided on "King Kong"

Manz....I expected a show full of gore and blood...u noe how our beloved Kong was portrayed as a ferocious creature in the trailers...but surprisely, wat I saw was a kind and irresistably adorable ancestor of mankind.

How he got hold of the lady in focus (Naomi Watts in this case. She was the lady who screamed her life away in 'The Ring' American version. And yet another time, she scream her life away in 'King Kong'), how he fell in love with the adorable blonde, how he risked his life to protect her and how his simple love and will to protect her, finally lead to his dramatic and tearful death in New York City.

Seriously, humans are evil! If only they have left Kong where he was, he wouldn't have died. The director in the plot, Carl, was blinded by wealth, fame and status. When he knew he could not bring back the videos he filmed upon setting foot to the 'Skull Island', he knew he had to bring something back. He was determined to bring Kong back.

Humans, intelligent and complicated beings. We are fragile beings, yet we always have the strong will to fight everything. This world was made better materially becoz of our brains. Yet, at the same time, our hearts and environment were made uglier. Oh well, everything has a price tag.

My mum used to tell me, humans are evil. We pollute the home we lived in. We murder other organisms becoz we didn't know how to share our world. When I was young, I used to tink why animals weren't given equal respect and dignity. Yes, they didn't invent the light bulb. They didn't derive the Solow-Swan Economic Growth Model. They didn't promote democracy to help make the world a better place. However, on the other hand, they didn't create pollutions. They didn't invent atomic bombs to kill their own kind. They didn't ruin human living habitat just to make sure they can survive. Animals are innocent creatures. They attack, becoz we attacked them first. They simply wanted to protect themselves. Just like Kong. If the army hadn't fired at him first, he wouldn't have fought back.

Humans always think they are smart, becoz we can tink, we have emotions. Mind you, animals have emotions too. My pet bird practically starved itself to death when it's mate died. Chimpanzees cry when their family member pass away. Elephants bury their deceased members in honour by kneeling down.

My mum used to tell me, animals are simple and naive. They do not tink a lot. They eat becoz they r hungry. They attack becoz someone is threatening their safety. This is basic instinct, not ferocity of animals. They know how to share the world with creatures different from them. They stick by the natural feeding cycle and ecology. It's us who's been disrupting Nature. It's us who derive them of a living space. It's us forcing them to fight back at us. Why? Simply becoz human beings never learn to share the world. Humans are the higher organisms, the rest are just low beings becoz they dun tink that much. Mind you, we evolve from apes and we only have one gene difference from that of a white rat in terms of a genetic make-up.

Mayb I was rite when I was young. " Animals are much more noble. They noe how to share and they dun kill each other to get one more piece of food. They noe how to look out for their kind. Humans backstab for a bit more status. They kill each other for a bit more wealth. They betray for a bit more fame. If we could all have the kind hearts of the animals, the world would be such a beautiful place." - quoted from one of the essays I wrote back in primary school. I tink it was written in chinese....hahaha...
