Patron's Day

Ok...I noe tis entry came a wee bit too late since Patron's Day ended on Monday..hahaha..but nonetheless, i will still write about it.

Though i am in yr 2, this is the first time i got myself seriously involved in the backstage management for Patron's Day.

At first, was slightly skeptical bout signing up for the stage director's appeal for the nid of BE members coz Week 7 is a busy week with 3 midterms for me. But I din wanna gif up the chance to learn more bout backstage and thus I signed up.

Man..it was such an experience! This was the first time I am assigned to sound console management. Ya..and I was the only SMU kid dere la..the rest were all from PICO..soundmen and light effects pple..I was the only student dere. But thankfully, they were really nice pple and that they din mind me asking tis and tt. playing ard with the buttons and they even told me how to operate the machines :)

Actually, there was a slight stress being in charge of sound console..coz ur errors are blasted thru-out the campus..hahahaha..had to double check so many times to make sure i had the rite tracks, the rite tune and stuff..hahahaha...that the mike is not screeching, when the podium mike shld b on and stuff...

But then it was thru tis, then I realise, hey. i do haf a love for running and organizing programmes. It's really fun. There's no room for a dead brain coz 'live' performance means 'live'. Anything wrong have to rectified immediately and it's a constant challenge. As long as the show is still on, ur guard cannot b down.

Thanks for the stage manager, Wanida, for assigning me to the sound console tis time :) I really learnt a lot :) hopefully next time can learn from PICO's Patrick on lights :) And thanks JinFu for saying I have potential..hahahaha..though it's my first event and nth cocked up.hahaha..:) I was lucky I guess, and the soundmen were superb, so actually, i din really contribute a lot. They knew their roles vv well :)

Haiz, actually wanted to sign up the Orientation Main Comm 2006 but I just realised I cannot fork out that amount of time during summer to contribute tt much. So was actually tinking of Sub comm. BUT sub comm is on a personal basis. Damn. hahaha..haven noe of anyone close we r running for the Main Comm of Orientation. Hmmz. Mayb just go for convocation la..hahhahaa...

**Quote of the day**: This was from my mum la. "Build on a healthy attitude and broad base knowledge. For these are the two things that pple can nv take from u."
