Rule of work

The visit to the hotel was extremely fun. And on my side, a rather eye-opening experience.

Well, since I am so noob. Haha.

I had a chance to lunch at the posh restaurant (FOC), visit the suites, go in the back rooms and man, I never knew running a hotel is so so so tough.

Ka*thrin was a really nice. She gave me mini lessons on Revenue Management and was very patient in explaining little details. She kept prompting me to ask more questions because it's "more fun when it's interactive". I was asking a lot of questions already! Haha

"I just want you to know it's ok to feel lost. Everyone feels lost in their new job. Even as a Hotel Mgmt graduate, I was so lost when I first joined.

Rule of work is always like this: First 3 months, it's extremely challenging. The next 3 months it becomes challenging. The next next 3 months it becomes easy. The last 3 months? Start hunting for new things to do.

It's good to work hard because you know at the end of the day, something good awaits you."

Nice. I likeyyyyy. =))

PS: On a side note, yes first 3 months is terribly challenging. That's why I've been staring at the budget and rollup plans and I can't freaking find out why there's a discrepancy when there shouldn't be! There's no one in office *looks ard* and my manager is not picking up the phone =( And it's my first time doing! I shall attempt to complete this before 10am on Monday!!!!
