A*dam L*ambert

I have all the hots for this man now. Doesn't matter if he is gay or bi or whatever. He's talented, he's good looking, he's real and very much believes in love.

I love his eyeliner and makeup but hey I think he looks awesome without too!

SO HOT.

Yiruma

He's officially my favourite pianist now

I've got all those scores!

Now only to get down to playing them.... :D

Tutti Fruitti Summer Love

I searched for this song after watching the Family Guy advert because the girls' vocal parts was very nice.

But man the video is trash! Hahaha

Especially the guy part. -_-

If I had you

If I'm a guy, I'll SO date A*dam L*ambert.

Time is love

When this advert came up, I remember all of us stopped what we were doing and just stare at the TV over at Kelvin's place the other day.

I thought it was pretty awesome.

Love the way you lie

Welcome back, slim shady :)

I love this song!

Hero

I was so down on Friday night (please don't remind me I have to re-write my Philippines report...) I got Wendy out to just hang out with me (yes when I say late it's like 11pm onwards).

And she gave me a song

"So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you"

She spent the next 2-3 hours just ranting with me. Don't you just love your girlfriends?

Glee

I'm so hooked to this show:

My colleague requested for this song when we were at L*a B*aroque:

Super Junior - Sorry Sorry

After Wonder Girls' Nobody, I am now addicted to Super Junior's Sorry Sorry:

What's with Kpop being so crazily catchy these days?

The Legend lives on - M*ichael J*ackson

When the news of M*ichael J*ackson's death came about, honestly it didn't hit me very very hard. It was just a little surprising..because he was there before I was born and seemed to be there..all along.

Endless repeats of his videos and performances flooded MTV Channel, Taiwan News channels, China news and entertainment channels that very weekend - it became the first time I sat down and started to appreciate his music.

If you asked me a few months ago what would first come to my mind when you say M*ichael J*ackson, I would have told you just these couple of things:

1) Moonwalk
2) Heal the World
3) Plastic surgeries/Nose that might fall off
4) Child molestation
5) That scary video with his scary yellow eyes ("Thriller")

Sad I hardly know anything about the legendary King of Pop.

With your colleagues mopping around MJ's death (half of them are 30-40ish Americans who really grew up with his music) and MTV's re-run of his videos, it's hard not to notice his music once more.

It's just amazing that the songs he wrote a good 20 years ago still sounds right and incredibly catchy now. It's incredible how I actually "knew" a lot of his songs without realizing he was the original singer. I thought Mariah Carey was the original singer for "I'll be there". I've always thought "Black or White" and "The way you make me feel" was a Pepsi song. And that "Thriller" was just a cheesy scary video made in the 80s.

How naive.

It soon became a little painful that I didn't pay much more attention to this legend before he passed away.

Let's start from his childhood days in Jackson 5.

It's hard to believe a 11 year old child can sing with that much feelings - I'll Be There:

And in 2001, he performed it again on Jackson 5's 30th year anniversary:

I'll Be There - Jackson 5:

You and I must make a pact, we must bring salvation back
Where there is love, I'll be there

I'll reach out my hand to you, I'll have faith in all you do
Just call my name and I'll be there

I'll be there to comfort you,
Build my world of dreams around you, I'm so glad that I found you
I'll be there with a love that's strong
I'll be your strength, I'll keep holding on

Let me fill your heart with joy and laughter
Togetherness, well that's all I'm after
Whenever you need me, I'll be there
I'll be there to protect you, with an unselfish love that respects you
Just call my name and I'll be there

If you should ever find someone new, I know he'd better be good to you
'Cause if he doesn't, I'll be there
Don't you know, baby, yeah yeah
I'll be there, I'll be there, just call my name, I'll be there

(Just look over your shoulders, honey - oo)

I'll be there, I'll be there, whenever you need me, I'll be there
Don't you know, baby, yeah yeah

I'll be there, I'll be there, just call my name, I'll be there...

Unfortunately, he will not be there anymore, no matter how many times the world calls out to him=((

Not forgetting Jackson 5's classic hits which all reached Number 1 during their time: (MJ is the little lead singer)

I want you back and ABC - Jackson 5

Ben - Jackson 5:

I love how Ben is a song about a suicidal hamster which thinks no one cares about him =D

Out of all his great albums as a solo singer after that, my favourite has to be Billie Jean. I love how it still sound so so so timeless after 26 years.

Billie Jean - Michael Jackson performing it in 2001 on Jackson 5's 30th anniversary:

I love how he build up the audience's anticipation in the front and how he lets it all explode =D I love how Billie Jean was simply about a psychotic girl who believe MJ fathered her son!

Billie Jean - Michael Jackson
Written by Michael Jackson

She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene
I said don't mind, but what do you mean I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round
She said I am the one, who will dance on the floor in the round

She told me her name was Billie Jean, as she caused a scene
Then every head turned with eyes that dreamed of being the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

People always told me be careful of what you do
And don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
And mother always told me be careful of who you love
And be careful of what you do 'cause the lie becomes the truth

Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son

For forty days and for forty nights
The law was on her side
But who can stand when she's in demand
Her schemes and plans
'Cause we danced on the floor in the round
So take my strong advice, just remember to always think twice
(Do think twice)

She told my baby we'd danced till three, then she looked at me
Then showed a photo my baby cried his eyes were like mine (oh, no!)
'Cause we danced on the floor in the round, baby

People always told me be careful of what you do
And don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
She came and stood right by me
Then the smell of sweet perfume
This happened much too soon
She called me to her room

Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son

Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son

She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son
Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son

She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son
She says I am the one

Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover

Billie Jean is
Billie Jean is
Billie Jean is

Not my lover
Not my lover
Not my lover
Not my lover

Billie Jean is not my lover (she is just a girl)
Billie Jean is not my lover (she is just a girl)
Billie Jean is not my lover (she is just a girl)
Billie Jean is not my lover (she is just a girl)

Billie Jean is
Billie Jean is

Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover

Billie Jean is
Billie Jean is

Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover

Billie Jean is
Billie Jean is

Classicccccccccccccccccccccccc!

Of course not forgetting great hits like Heal the world, You are not alone, Black or White, The Way You Make Me Feel, Dirty Diana, Beat it, Dangerous, Smooth Criminal, and not forgetting the biggest album of all time, Thriller

And it's just amazing to think he was the writer for these great classics and the choreographer for those amazing dance moves.

The more I listen to his songs and watch his performances...the more it bites into me that I wasn't appreciative of his music when he was alive. The more I realised how stupid it was to overlook all this musical talents and charitable acts (he still holds the Guinness World Records of supporting the most charities - he alone donated $50,000,000,000 through these years and supported 39 charities globally).

For the first time, I wish I was born earlier to witness the peak of his career and go through childhood with everyone around you worshipping a great performer with real talents.

Maybe Stevie Wonder was right - now God wants his angel back =). May MJ rest in peace and be remembered generations after generations for his great music, slick dance moves and charitable acts.

I'll be there

I have a very strong urge to touch my piano again. It's so beautiful.

The Legend gone

Crowd of people were at the pantry this morning watching CNN.

Michael Jackson passed away (view here)

I was never a hardcore fan but he was so iconic that one would never have imagined that one day...he will die like everyone else.

Rest in peace Michael. You were and still are an icon, and will always be.

Getting fed up

Baidu is driving me crazy. Sogou.com is driving me crazy too.

For the past one hour, I've been trying to download "save as" this one song and I've failed terribly.

Rarrhhhh. It's the same for the report used for the meeting tomorrow. It just doesn't run!!!!

Relax. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale.

I'll try again tomorrow.

How did Kris Allen win?!

B*rijesh spoilt everyone's mood by telling us Kris Allen won the 8th season of American Idol.

NOOOOOOOooooOOOOOOOO~~~~~~~~

How can a great singer like Adam Lambert not win?!

Mad World - Adam Lambert (it's so nice even Simon Cowell gave him a standing ovation) It's hauntingly good!!!!!

Because everyone knows he has already won the moment he started to sing =D

You can shine

That was what this advertisement by Pantene was trying to convey.

At first, I thought the commercial was really good until the last part. After watching it the second time, I think it's beautiful.

Even a deaf girl can shine in her own way with her love for music.

I like how her teacher told her "Why do you want to be like the others?" when she asked him "Why am I different from others?"

I like the way it didn't have a lot of business intent in it - or maybe indirectly it did because it generated so much attention towards Pantene and the product. There were no common shots of babes standing around throwing their hair around, just plainly a message saying "You can shine". Be it how you want to interpret it - whether it was that anyone can shine in their own way or it was that Pantene can make your hair shine. You can view it in a commercial way or the inspirational way.

Nice. I love it.

关怀方式

I'm sure many of us still remember this song =)))))) After so many years, it's still a beautiful classic. How can we forget Chen Han Wei's Teacher Fang's hair. Haha. Kinda remin me of the piano teacher I had when I was in Primary School.

I've reach an age where I can actually reminisce about the past.

God.

Nobody by Wonder Girls

I'm addicted. Period.

Y~M~C~A

After last Friday's TGIf....I can't get this song out of my head. It was the dept's theme music since we went as The Village People. Hahah =D

YMCA by The Village People
Young man, there's no need to feel down.
I said, young man, pick yourself off the ground.
I said, young man, 'cause you're in a new town
There's no need to be unhappy.

Young man, there's a place you can go.
I said, young man, when you're short on your dough.
You can stay there, and I'm sure you will find
Many ways to have a good time.

It's fun to stay at the y-m-c-a.
It's fun to stay at the y-m-c-a.

They have everything for you men to enjoy,
You can hang out with all the boys ...

It's fun to stay at the y-m-c-a.
It's fun to stay at the y-m-c-a.

You can get yourself cleaned, you can have a good meal,
You can do whatever you feel ...

Young man, are you listening to me?
I said, young man, what do you want to be?
I said, young man, you can make real your dreams.
But you got to know this one thing!

No man does it all by himself.
I said, young man, put your pride on the shelf,
And just go there, to the y.m.c.a.
I'm sure they can help you today.

Young man, I was once in your shoes.
I said, I was down and out with the blues.
I felt no man cared if I were alive.
I felt the whole world was so tight ...

That's when someone came up to me,
And said, young man, take a walk up the street.
There's a place there called the y.m.c.a.
They can start you back on your way.

It's fun to stay at the y-m-c-a.
It's fun to stay at the y-m-c-a.

They have everything for you men to enjoy,
You can hang out with all the boys ...

Y-m-c-a ... you'll find it at the y-m-c-a.

Young man, young man, there's no need to feel down.
Young man, young man, get yourself off the ground.

Y-m-c-a ... you'll find it at the y-m-c-a.

Young man, young man, there's no need to feel down.
Young man, young man, get yourself off the ground.

Y-m-c-a ... just go to the y-m-c-a.

Young man, young man, are you listening to me?
Young man, young man, what do you wanna be?

Mamma Mia!

I remembered telling my friends don't watch it because thought of the actors singing ABBA's classics just turns me off.

However, I gave in to watching it last night because Wendy wanted to. And you know me being me, I almost never turn Wendy down. (minus the time she wanted me to walk into Coach shop in shorts and slippers and I stared at her in disbelief before running off. haha)

I completely did not regret watching it.

Trailer:

It's such a happy show! I practically laughed all the way! We watched with a great crowd too. The row behind and before us were all OLs (Office Ladies) who could relate to ABBA's classics. And when the songs came up, the whole cinema was singing along.

One of the female leads, Meryl Streep had 2 really good BFFs. And when the 3 old ladies met up and did a very teeny pop kinda friendship cheer, I leaned over to Wendy and said: "That's what we will be like when we hit 50 years old." HAHAHAHA

Pierce Brosnan's singing sucks. But his sexy face and body compensates in some way so I am perfectly fine with that. Hahahaha.

How can anyone at his age be so darn sexy?!!?!?!?!?!?!?

Anyway....I wanna watch it again!!!!!! It's such a happy show! =))

People, go watch it. Nevermind that ABBA's version is still so much better. Hahaha
