Presents from strangers
I love coming home to lovely parcels from online shopping. Especially so when they are backorder items and I have completely forgotten that I've made the purchases weeks ago.
It's like getting presents from random strangers. Hurhur.

New love
I'm having a lot of new loves these days.
Never thought I'll ever like pencil skirts since well I'm short and all. But alas! Turns out I fit them pretty well! Life's little surprises.

Don't mind the mess in my room. It's just part of the (still ongoing) decluttering of my living space. Haha

Mirrorbook Air
Let me show you this stupid thing I bought while out shopping the other day.
It's a pocket mirror that looks like MacBook air! Haha! My sister still rolls her eyes whenever she sees it. Haha

Love at first sight
I was out with Jia Hui on Friday at Vivocity and saw this desk at the National Geographic shop.
I fell in love with it at first sight. I begin to imagine working on this desk day and night. My work room will have a ceiling high glass window in front of it - overlooking the city.
Ah. So perfect.
I came back to planet earth when I saw the $33,000 price tag.

November
I love Novembers.
Because:
It's my birthday month.
It's the birthday month for many of my friends.
It means I will get many presents.
It's near the end of the year.
It used to represent school holidays.
And most importantly....it means the month of discounts!
=))))))))
Such things always come so timely. I am SOOOOOO in need of clothes/skin products/shoes/blah blahs!!!!
Someone please pull me out of office on Saturday and make me shop.

I'm dead
That's it.
I'm addicted to online window shopping. At least for now, I am not clicking anything yet.
I reckon once I start the clicking, it's never going to stop. And THAT's scary. Especially when the bill comes. Haha.
Somebody stop me. Haha

*fumes*
Saw some nice ones, but haven't found the guts to press the button yet:
I think the shirts are really cute! Man I want to get them!!!! =(
I wanna go shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rarrrhh

Dresses and frocks
Those who have known me for years, know that I hardly wear skirts. Let alone dresses.
Not that I mind, but honestly, I haven't found the guts to wear it. Haha. All these years, Wendy always get me skirts on my birthday, and I will wear them on my birthday celebration. Lol.
I reckon if I ask Wendy to go shopping with me, I will end up with clothes that looks like:
Hmm. That requires ALOT of guts to wear. Haha. But I will try to continue the tradition of wearing nice clothes every birthday. Haha =)
๑۩۞۩๑ ღ Yu Hui ღ ๑۩۞۩๑ says:
I need to revamp my wardrobe and buy more dresses
J|a Hu| says:
Why leh?
๑۩۞۩๑ ღ Yu Hui ღ ๑۩۞۩๑ says:
So I can double them up for both casual wear and Fridays' dress down days.
J|a Hu| says:
Oh ok. Can get Wendy to buy with you. Haha.
๑۩۞۩๑ ღ Yu Hui ღ ๑۩۞۩๑ says:
Haha, she will make me buy super girly dresses lo.
๑۩۞۩๑ ღ Yu Hui ღ ๑۩۞۩๑ says:
I will get culture shock. Haha.
J|a Hu| says:
Hahaha.
๑۩۞۩๑ ღ Yu Hui ღ ๑۩۞۩๑ says:
Last time in JC, when I don't even wear skirts, she's the one always buying me skirts.
๑۩۞۩๑ ღ Yu Hui ღ ๑۩۞۩๑ says:
Now I wear skirts le, she will probably make me wear princess dresses I tell you.

Moving on
There's always a good motivation to clear the junk out of the wardrobe. That is.....TO GET NEW CLOTHES!!!!
Clothes I chucked out yesterday:
I admit I've always been very lazy to dress up. Reasons in abundance...
1) I'm really going to school for learning SO comfort is very important
2) Our seminar rooms are really freezers in disguise to preserve the aging flesh of its undergrad population
3) And in view of point 2, I end up wrapping myself up like a bloody dumpling
4) Bloody dumplings only need basic outfits
5) I'm just plain lazy
6) I don't really care if I turn up in shorts and tee shirts in school because everyone else does that
7) I usually end up in school on weekends
8) Did I say lazy?
Ok on hindsight, they sound like plain excuses. Ok I'm lazy. Haha.
BUT I have redeeming factors okay. I like reading fashion magazines, watching fashion shows and beauty programmes. So I can say I have all the information but I never really utilize them on me.
I usually end up using on someone else.
And then other people come to dress me up - i become a blown up life size dressing toy on occasions. Because, they think I can do a lot of styles. Well, minus the fact I am vertically challenged and there are just some styles I can't do. Hahaha. No, don't get me to wear maxi dresses. I look like a kid in mum's wear. Haha
Now my wardrobe has been halved:
And the other wardrobe (yes I have 2) has mainly boring corporate suits and skirts that haven't seen daylight for the longest time:
In view of my determination to dress better after I start work, I chucked ALL my polo-tees (leaving only 4 in case I go cycling or do sports) and shirts. I have also chucked some clothes that fit at least one of the following criteria:
1) Plain weird - I dunno what I was tinking back then
2) Don't even know they existed - which means I have lived on with life without them previously, I can continue to live on with life without them in future
3) OMG category - honestly I dunno why I own them
4) Worn to death
Most are in 1 to 3 btw. Haha
I have this trend in life, I dress like shit to school, but I always dress nice when I work - because I have people to impress at workplace. When I was in HSBC, I always looked better. Even on weekends I dress nicer in case I run into colleagues out in town. When I was in China for internship, I looked professional.
Let's pray this trend continues. Haha.
In view that I am starting work next week where I am truly embarking on a 40-year corporate life (maybe shorter if I earn enough or marry some rich guy. Haha. Minus a few years in between if I am lucky enough to go for Masters.), I went out and got myself some boring corporate outfits again.
I'm not sure how the people dress over there so I will start off with boring and safe corporate wear first. Eventually...if I get to wear things like:
to work, I think it will make me pretty happy too. Haha.
Yea to new fashion life!
Somebody please give me a gentle reminder the next time I try to come out in shorts and tee-shirt again. Haha
I need dinner pronto. Toodles.

Back to old school
Instead of getting something similar from Converse (which is more expensive, more common and hence burn a bigger hole in my pocket for no special reason.), I decide to get a pair of good old North Star:
I got myself a Size 5, coz that's my regular size. BUT, it seems really big:
Either my feet has shrunk prematurely or shoe manufacturers are mislabeling the school shoes so as to assure kids nowadays that they ain't on their way to being Big Foot.
I kinda trust the latter argument more.

Traces of me
Before I start off, Happy 24th Birthday to YiCui and Happy 22nd Birthday to Michelle!
Went for Nike Career talk today. Very much marketing though. And yes, I can't pass their GPA criteria. Hahahahaah.
Went off with Sylvia after that, since she wasn't interested in the networking session either. Briefly mentioned Addidas's program was better. Hmm.
Went off to Guardian to get my facial cleanser. Yea, running low man. And then I pointed to her a bottle of Shower Oil and told her I bathe in oil at home.
Sylvia: "Oh yea, can you tell me what you use for your shower foam? You seemed to always have this nice flowery smell on you."
Me: "Issit? I never smell it myself leh."
And then I started smelling myself.
Reminds me of the time when Richard asked me what was the nice smell I wore everyday. Since he say he seemed to be able to smell me from far. Hahaha..got so kua zhang not..
Ehh...honestly, it's just perfume leh..everyone wears perfume right..and I don't even smell it myself! Well unless I pick up my collar and smell la.
Okie, time for the mystery to unravel.
It's Estee Lauder Pleasure Intense.
Yea gives me intense pleasure just from smelling the bottle. Hahahahaha
Been using it for quite some time. Okie, I never know it was that distinct a smell.
Hahahah.

The great singapore sale
It's the time of the year when everyone juz go nuts. I was strolling along Orchard along today (YES, alone. Stop giving me pitiful looks! Seriously, i quite enjoy the fact i can b alone for a few hrs :D) and man...those "UP TO 50% SALE!", "20% SALE INSIDE!" was erm...pretty tempting...but i m a person who's really strong mentally (rite) so i was able to counter off a lot of tempting signs :D
After today's shopping, I alreayd decided wat i wanna buy. A pair of Esprit pants for $89.90, a tube top from Esprit at $29.90 and Esprit 3 quart at $69.90. Cam u hear it? My bank account is crying out ! Stoop spending! BUt the thing is..i haven bought any clothes recently..really time to get some new ones..(esp after i cleared my wardrobe of those moth-infested or mouldy content :D)..Mammy, pls dun scream at me the next time u c my bank account...i will work longer hrs to put those $$ back...
And today, i witnessed the most uncivilised action from THIS supposedly-educated-and-civilised-working-class-but-dunno-wat-happened-to-her-manners-and-attitude lady. The train was really packed (as usual, singaporeans only get to shop till they drop on days labelled as PUBLIC HOLIDAY, how sad) and i was standing near the door. There was tis family, the dad was carrying the shopping bags, the mum was carrying the youngest son and the older daughter ,mayb ard 4 yr old was left,of coz standing on her own near the door as well. She kept complaining to her mum her feet really hurt and she wants a seat (and as usual, singaporeans r really not tt cool bout giving up their seats for someone who nids it more). The mum could do nth coz the train was really packed! like sardine cans kinda packed. So the gal squarted down at the corner of the door so she could rest and she wouldn't block anyone's way. And guess wat happened? The train stopped at Aljunied and THIS lady apparently forgot she has to alight or smth. When the "door closing" beep was ringing, she suddenly remembered she has to alight or smth, she started dashing for the door. "GET OUT OF MY WAY LA!" was wat she said as she pushed and shoved thru the crowd, kicked the little gal at the door, and literally stepped on the poor little body. JUST BECOZ SHE WANNA GET OUT OF THE TRAIN. crap. really. shitty manners. She din even say sorry, she din even look back at who she kicked. She juz dashed out and cursed REALLY loudly bout how singaporeans always like to clog up the door. HELLO! WHO'S THE RUDE ONE ARD?!
A couple of passengers pulled the little gal up including me, a young teen and a young blond tourist. Who says youngsters nowadays haf no heart? Who say we r aloof and dun bother to offer help?
Gosh. There are times when i m so ashamed of being a Singaporean. This is one of those times.
