Yeah!

I think this one fits the theme of the blog better =)))

Header shifted to top at 0px 10px 180px 0px and aligned left. I'm very proud of myself. Shall reward myself with a plate of mangosteen =D

Maybe next week when I have more time, I shall revamp this blog =D

我是宅女

I think this is very scary - I'm starting to derive more fun and pleasure by staying at home either doing work or......cleaning up my room!

Social life on red alert. Totally.

Ok jokes aside, I've attained new levels with java-scripting. I've revamped my travel blog with a spunky new template, changed all the alignment, image default sizes code is probably something new.

I'm thinking of changing the header. But it's so hard to find the right size. Rarrrhh

Now that I have tested it on the travel blog, maybe I should start revamping this blog too.

Google Chrome

I used to love Mozilla Firefox A LOT.

I've been using it for the past 5 years at least and I love it to bits. Well until Google Chrome came along.

My heart has been stolen. It's faster and cleaner. Totally fits my resolution for the year - to be a minimalist in every way.

Goodbye Mozilla. Hello Chrome :)

Javascripts

Call me crazy if required.

I actually think Javascripts are very interesting. I was just studying the Javascripts for my blog template, I changed the alighnment a little - twitch it a little here and there.

And changed the default font to Tahoma. I likeeeeyyyyy.

If only I could build something from scratch as well. Hmm.

Daxter

Sam has very kindly lent me his PSP - I can have it until well I get really sick of it. He downloaded a bunch of "girly-games" as he said and most were pretty fun!

Personal favourite, which i think is a non-girly game at all - DAXTER

If you are wondering what Daxter is..well I thought he was a lizard. Turned out he is actually a mutated....squrriel. Righttttttttt. Haha

It's the typical RPG, with a pretty cool storyline. His friend Rak, has been captured by evil dudes (duh) and Daxter the squrriel is gonna rescue him! The best way would be to disguise as.....a bug exterminator. So our little mutated hero will be running around with an electric bug swap (and your skills in utilizing it gets better as time goes by) and a bug spray (wich gets upgraded to a flamethrower and sonic blaster eventually). Oh don't laugh, it's really fun! Daxter has to go around the city, clearing bug extermination missions to gain a good reputation before he can aim for The Palace where Rak is being imprisoned.

I've been at it for the last 6 days at least and I'm only 64% through with the game - with the help of a walkthrough!

It is a 3-D game so too much of it is giving me a bad headache and lousy case of motion sickness - not to mention a great lack of sleep as well. Haha. I'm gonna have to practise some self-control here.

I just spent 4 hours on it and my head is splitting. I'm going to sleep.

Good night world! =)

Geek Alert

I used to really hate Microsoft Excel back in college - simply because I didn't see a purpose in those formulas and macros function.

Well until I got employed for a job that practically breathes MS Excel.

Now I'm head over heels in love with the best thing that Microsoft ever came up with. I enjoy building templates, I enjoy immersing myself into the world of VLOOKUPs, Pivot Datas and Macros, I love the feeling of figures being churned out just by a simple click.

I can't believe I am reading programming books now.

SE C905

I think I mentioned somewhere in a really old post that I want to get Sony Ericsson C905. That was about 4 months ago.

I have yet to get it =(

However, I cannot get my mind off it:

It's sexy form is occupying my mind every now and then.

I'm gonna own you. Soon.

The C905

She's so gorgeous. I can't stop researching on her these few days.

Say hello to Sony Ericsson C905:

Drools. Yes I know it looks big. But I've always got a huge soft spot for anything big. Especially my gadgets. Haha. It feels like my money bought SOMETHING, you know? LOL.

My heart has been beating for the longest time with my current beau (K800i). High time to move on to new love. Hahahahaha =D

PS: Oh if you are wondering why am I still even around at this ungodly hour....bingo, I'm clearing some work. Hahaha

Buying an IBM

I dunno why but I am starting to fall in love with my corporate laptop. There's something about the keyboard tapping sound that makes me very high.

Well, it makes me feel professional for some reason. Lol

Now as I am sitting at my desk in office on a Sunday noon, trying to find out why my zipped file cannot be attached, I am thinking of getting an IBM laptop the next time my Fujitsu threaten to die on me one more time. Minus the fact that IBM laptop is probably one of the least pretty machines in the market, at least I know it's pretty sturdy.

I'm not a big fan of fragile machines, and I will not hesitate to dump the useless thing for a sturdy one.

Crashed. And then reborn

Last night, my Fujitsu decided to die on me.

Black screen and nothing else.

If your laptop of 4 years has never crashed on you before, you won't know how earth shattering that is.

My uncle came over to collect my laptop this morning. By afternoon, it was all well and good =)

I can't tell you how much I heart my uncle now. Haha.

On a side note, I am so going to backup all my stuff now. So I won't be heartbroken again. Haha.

Finally

Looks like I am more proactive than I thought.

HAHA.

So I will be updating as per normal now I guess.

Got a new ext keyboard for $18 =))))

Photobucket

I can work as per normal now =))).

Well, minus the fact that I will probably not bring my laptop out anymore since I look like a complete idiot carrying an extra keyboard around.

Lol

Screwed up keyboard

I guess I won't be updating very often since the shiteous laptop of mine has decided to play a prank on me the moment the warranty is up. the keys are either not functioning or end up with weird characters appearing.

The school has refused to help me fix...I was pondering if I should go to the Repair Centre until Keris said they told her it cost $250 to just check and change the hardware :S. Forget it man, I would rather keep that money in my bank.

I am clicking one alphabet by one alphabet now. So pardon me if I give like super short answers on MSN or long answers with very bad typo errors.

Maybe I should go get an external usb connected keyboard or something. Do they have such things?

I need a bloody keyboard!!!!!!!

To end it all, I should write my favourite quote:

"LOnce a Fj6its ser, never a Fj6its ser":

Oh don't get it?

It's actually.......

"Once a Fujitsu user, never a Fujitsu user."

Of weirdos and Viwawa

I've been meeting weird people on trains these days.

Weirdo #1:
Just a few days ago, when I was in my lousy shirt, FBT shorts, track shoes and carrying my grossly huge bag with my laptop, and on my way to school.

I have the habit of standing by the door and looking out whenever I'm in the train. Yes, even when it's going through the underground tunnel. I have my reflection to look at what. XD

Oh back to weirdos. I was staring at my reflection when at the corner of my eye, I saw a red flash. You know the kind which lights up before taking a photograph when you off your flash? Yea that kinda red light. I looked into the glass to confirm my suspicion. Yes it was some working class in late 20s, holding his handphone, and camera lens focused on me.

I thought to myself maybe it's not me. So I turned my head and stared right into his camera lens. He looked up from his handphone, and quickly slide his phone down. He then started to shake his phone like it was faulty.

-____-||

I shifted to another cabin after that. Haha.

Weirdo #2:
I board the train with Youfen and Kausar just now after our project meeting. There was this ah peh standing behind Youfen and given my position, I was facing him.

We had our conversation about school and I noticed he kept leaning closer to hear our conversation and keep smiling at me.

So I guess our topics on school was probably a little private and decide to move on to something else. Grad Night locations and previous Proms.

Me: "Hey you guys know which hotel is like the best in Singapore?"
Ah Peh from behind: "Oh St Regis! It's like one of the rare few in the world."

Youfen got a shock, Kausar got a shock, I got a shock too -_-. But they (no thanks to you guys) suddenly kept quiet and I was left to talk to the Ah Peh myself -_- I nodded my head, gave him an admiringly look on his knowledge (I had to! I mean he would feel bad for coming into the conversation right...), and was glancing at them from time to time to try save me from all these.

They didn't -_-||

So I carried on a small conversation with the Ah Peh, before I nodded and "YEAH THANKS UNCLE!" and then quickly turn back to them to continue our conversation.

Geez.

Ok weirdos aside! Let's talk about something fun! I've been hooked to Viwawa! No thanks to my sister for introducing it -_-

Addiction #1: WahJong
Yes my name is sunshinemama..HAHA

Addiction #2:
So fun!!!!!

But of course, I only play it for 15 min intervals when I get too demoralized from doing my project or doing my Derivatives assignment -_-

Ok back to work. Especially since I shut down my laptop from 8.15pm to 915pm for the Earth Hour 2008 thing :)

Safari

Oh man! I was updating the software for my iTunes when they indicated I downloaded Safari as well.

I thought nothing much of it. But I did notice a new Safari icon on my Desktop.

Cool!

It's so nice!!!

I feel like I have a Macbook right now.

*smug face*

Tuan Kiat must be so happy that I have a fake Macbook to play with now. Because I keep molesting his new MacBook. Hahaha.

Weird online games

I slept really late on Saturday morning. Because of a game link Yicui gave me. :S Yea late meant 4 plus am. :S

It started with a game called "Penguin's diner."

And then I completed the game, and decide to move on to another game.

I went on to a game called Crazy Flasher:
No it's not about erm..flashers -_-. It's about a boy called Andy who needs to earn money through street fighting.

And then I became a Crazy Killer *smug face*:
And then it got too tough to earn money, I decide to move on to another game...

School flirting game. HAHA! It's a really dumb Japanese game (I'm sorry for this comment Sng) which the main character has to flirt with enough boys in the time limit. All the boys she flirt with will be so electrified that their souls will folow behind her. HAHA:
And then it didn't take long for my character to become the....
ULTIMATE FLIRTER!

WAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAA.

I attained Nirvana. *Loud laugh*

And then I moved on to another game called Hide 'N' Go Milk, where the main character is the cow, who goes around the barn collecting milk requested by the animals having a party in the shed. HAHA. Kinda hafta avoid the owner of the barn who checks out the activity with a torch every now and then:
I went to bed after I screwed up the party becoz I ddin't collect enough milk XD

Give the site a try! Loads of weird funny games!

Oh the beauty of Imeem

I remembered asking Alan where to find band music. And he said here.

I heart it! Rarrrhhhh.

BUT! I dunno how to dl the song -_-. it keeps prompting me error. It's either me or it's the laptop. I think it's the laptop.

-_-

Ok maybe it's just me.

One of my favourites: El Camino Real (Amsterdamse Tramharmonie)

I dunno was it because we played it so many freaking times as it was our SYF competition piece or was it purely because I really like the speed of the music. Hahah. My favourite parts consist of the opening and the back part that starts at the 8.34th min. The speed makes me very high. This is the best version I have heard so far, by Amsterdamse Tramharmonie.

It sounds really much more wholesome than the Tokyo Kosei's version. Or is it just me. Hahaha. Could be coz I have this version on my MP3, and is more used to this version.

El Camino Real (Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra)

For once, I kinda prefer someone else's version over Tokyo Kosei's. Mingkeat, don't condemn me just coz you know I dun like the version done by the Wind Orchestra that came from you gf's homeland. I swear I will still be nice to her if ever she gets a chance to come to Singapore...

Another one of my all time favourites: The Lord of the Dance

I can never never never never get tired of this track. No idea why. Hahahaha. Speed I guess? I have a tendency to get hooked to tracks that make your heart race. Hahahaha. And not to forget, great beat there :)

Ahh, if only we got to play it in JC band last time. Then I can foresee very fun parts for Percussion. Like the tap dancing part. Wonder what we can come up with. Wahahaha.

Very good morning tracks to listen to. Wahahaha. Fresh for the day man I tell you.

Dvorak Symphony No. 9 2nd movement is beautiful:

Good for sleeping and chilling that is. Those lie-down-on-the-bench-and-watch-the-star-at-night track. Perfect for post-night-jogging. It's a good 12 min worth of de-stressing music.

Finally a ground worth loads of surfing!!!!:))))

Somebody, tell me how to download! Rarrhh.

Tried to download Dvorak again, and iTunes pop up in German! GERMAN?! Goodness. I dun get a single word besides kinda deciphering the "Welcome to iTunes store" at the top -_-.

Yea, I think it's German -_-. THINK.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHA.

Teach me how to download!

Never felt so IT-un-savvy before.

444th post

I've reached the 死死死 post. Hahahaha.

Oh man, I've reached the 444th post already :S And today's Thursday. Wahahahaha.

No link at all -_-

Arrived in school damn early today. Dunno why, I just happened to leave the house at7am when my class is supposedly at 8.30am -_-. Was in kopitiam having my second round of breakfast and saw my MA (Management Accounting) professor moping around in slacks and slippers. What a sight. Haha

Read papers about the new Mac-Air, thinnest laptop world has ever seen:

Tell me about thinnovation -_-

It's uber sexyyyyy~~~, but I still have qualms about bringing a 0.4cm thick lappie around. I happen to break things very easily. Hahahaha.

The Singapore Govt has once again revealed to the world how deep its pockets are by investing in $6.88 billion into Citibank. And it's almost a no risk investment unless well, Citibank goes under. Not very likely since it's too large to. But hey they were near bankruptcy in the early 1990s. Who knows. Muahahahah.

Gawd I'm evil -_-.

I think I need to write 习字 soon. My handwriting went from bad to atrocious. It's like a pure straight curve of decline since I entered University.

And yesh, I can't draw straight lines -_-.

22 years old with ugly handwriting and can't draw a bleedy straight line. So much for 16 years of formal education -_-.

Ok, back to FI investments class. Prof loves to show his chest hair lah -_-.

Student: "Prof, for the assignment, are we supposed to do in groups?"
Professor: "Up to you."
Student: "How many people a group?"
Professor: "As big as you want :)"
**Roars of laughter*

I love my prof. Hahahaa.

Question to ponder for the day: "Why are people more comfortable with talking about sex than talking about shit?" - National Geographic's special on Beijing's public toilets.

Oh the shudder on China's public toilets. *chill down the spine*

Revisiting childhood

*Drumrollz*
Nintendo DS Lite!

Sam has finally lent me his Nintendo DS Lite!!!! Wahahahahaha. Together with 4GB worth of games. Muahahahaha.

I came home with the console last night.

Mum: "Is that Yong Zhi's console?"
*still playing with the console*
Me: "Yep."
Mum: "Dun spoil pple's things ah."
Me: "Orh."

One hour later.

Mum: "When are you going to bathe?"
*still playing*
Me: "Erm yea, later."

Finger cramp. So I went to bathe.

After bath

Mum: "Dun play till so late, slp earlier."
Me: "Orh."

Console blinked red light. Low batt -_-.

More days of NDS Lite to come! Wahahahaha

I haven slept for 35 hrs liao man...spent the nite at chalet playing mahjong and PSP, Fatal Frames 3...damn freaky..hahaah

I love my new Ipod Nano!

My laptop is backkkkk!

I am finally able to write this blog entry from my laptop!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! Thanks uncle man!

He also cleaned up and made my home PC much faster now..hahaha..cool! While waiting for the programs to run, he allowed me to see a program he spent one year writing. Some CCTV program written for 300 over condo units. It can be viewed by the owner wherever he is and I think it's real cool! He also mentioned that he is expanding his company soon. Ahhh, nice to know that he is doing well in his field.

He brought his 3 kids along and honestly, I am really shocked at the rate the kids are growing. The oldest girl is already 10 years old and the second one is 8. The last one is already 5. Wah...it seemed like only yesterday that the eldest girl was born man...haiz

Me:"Wah, time really fly huh? Your kids are really big now."

Uncle:" Yep, time flies. So you must cherish your youth. Do what you want. Dun regret it only when you are old."

Me:"Yep."

Uncle:"See, just a few years ago you were around my kids' current age. Look where you are now. Just completed your 3rd year in university and going to Beijing for internship already. Man, who would have thought time can fly by so fast. So must cherish everything you are doing now. If there's anything you really want to do now, go ahead."

It is very enlightening. Nice chatting with him. It's been a while since we really sat down and talk man.

Hope next time we can chat longer!
